In 1979, Bill Worrell floated the Lower Pecos River where he encountered severe storms. These caused him to seek shelter within a rock cave. He observed paintings rendered over 4,000 years ago. This personal discovery forever changed the direction of Worrell's artwork.

Worrell is continually energized by the challenge of creating ever-evolving variations of his so-called "primitive counterparts." He strives to capture the essence of their expressions through contemporary methods of painting and bronze sculpture.

Bill Worrell passed away in April 2021. His inspirational sculptures and written words keep us forever in his presence. Since his death, the prices of his artwork have increased.
