Unique Art Antique has on hand an elegant array of beautiful antique Carnival Glass currently in stock. Tiffany 1800's was the first company to make the original glass with the iridescent in the glass itself. By 1907 Fenton invented a sprayed on version at a cheaper price and these pieces experienced an enormous success. But by the 1920's the fad had shifted to Depression Glass and Fenton was forced to find a means of liquidating warehouses full of unwanted imitation iridescent glass. They found a home with the Wildwest Traveling Shows and Circus Carnival Midways as prizes. Thus how Fenton Imitation Iridescent Glass came to be known as Carnival Glass.
