MARGUERITE KITTIE BRUNEAU, a native Quebecois, presents wild
and colourful art influenced by her extensive travels
throughout the South America’s.
Born in Montreal in 1929. After studying visual arts, she left Quebec for Paris
in 1950. A decade later, she returned to her native land and began her first
exhibitions. Her unique style, associated with no particular movement, and is
recognized by its vibrant and dynamic colors.
Recognized by the Prix des Affaires culturelles du Québec and the Canada
Council for the Arts, we can find her work in the collection of the Musée des
Beaux-Arts du Québec, the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal and the Canadian National Gallery.
