Backplate, circular with a flat rim, surrounding the impressive lion mask. The beast looking straight forward. The hinged knocker with a reed band, entwined with crossing ribbons, and mounted to the top and bottom with rosettes. The knocker ring striking to drop at the end of the back plate.
