The improved Barnard and Cord Pat# 190 is a very unusual large antique kraut maker/cabbage slicer marked Barnard - The cutter measures approx. 42 " long and 14" inches wide. It has a removable wood feeder box - 18 ¼ " long, 12 ¼ " wide and 10 ¾ " deep. The board has a long arm driven blade a two (2) feeder boxes. Condition is good with some loss of wood due to use and the age of the cutter. I have seen these made into coffee tables by placing glass over the bottom and they sell for around $800. This is a very unique primitive due to the style and design – manufactured around the mid 1800's.
